Thank you for purchasing our 96 Bottle Instant Cellar with Top Wine Rack. You will find the assembly of the Wine Rack is extremely simple and will take just a few minutes. You will need a philips head screw driver or a philips head screwdriver bit for your electric drill.
(1) You will receive 2 boxes. Remove the contents of the boxes. The two boxes will be identical except one box will have a top. There should be 2 outside (bottle rests are on one side) ladders, 5 inside ladders (bottle rests are on both sides), 8 notched crosspieces, and screws in each box.
Crosspieces
There are 4 crosspieces that do not have two holes drilled from edge to edge and 4 that do. The crosspieces that do not have the edge holes are the "bottom" crosspieces. Those that do are the "top" crosspieces. Now look at the crosspieces that have the 2 holes that are drilled through the edges. These holes are counter drilled. The edge that has the large hole is the "bottom" edge of the crosspiece and is where the screw enters the hole. The holes that are small are on the "top" edge of the crosspiece. Set the crosspieces with the edge holes aside for a minute. The crosspieces that have 2 rows of holes drilled them are used to connect the top and bottom wine rack ladders together.
(2) Rest the sides from each box on their edges. Make sure that the ladders are all pointed in the same direction (the long spacing between the end of the ladder and the bottle rest denotes that is the top of the wine rack). Position the top of one wine rack with the corresponding bottom of the other wine rack. Attach both wine racks together using the wide crosspiece with the two rows of holes. Position the crosspiece with one row of holes over one wine rack and the other row of holes over the other wine rack. (If your wine racks ladders are not counter drilled use the crosspiece as a template and drill small pilot holes. Make sure the holes are smaller than the screws.
(3) Attach the narrow crosspiece to the bottom of the lower wine rack.
(4) Attach one of the crosspieces with the holes drilled through its edges to the top of the top wine rack. Make sure that the edge with the two small holes are pointing towards the top of the wine rack.
(5) Flip over the attached wine racks very carefully (the racks are fragile until fully assembled) and repeat the process of attaching the crosspieces to the ladders.
(6) Take the top from the box and lay it flat on a soft surface to make sure that it is protected from being scratched. The top should have the beveled edges directly on your surface. The surface which has the beveled edges is the top of the top. Take the wine rack and place it directly on the top. Make sure that the top of the wine rack is centered on the top. Screw the wine rack crosspieces to the top using the edge holes in the crosspieces.
You are now finished. Enjoy!
