Early in the month of December, many wineries are hosting shopping events. Hunt Country Winery, New York, will run Ladies’ and Men’s Afterhours on the 2nd-3rd and 9th-10th of December respectively.

No, my geography is not off…this time. In fact, there is a Swedish Hill in New York. It’s a winery, and in 2011 this one is celebrating 25 years of making and selling bottles for your wine rack .

I’m sorry to say that this is a theoretical journey, not a real one. The good news is that you do not need to sit in traffic on the M5 to travel with me to The London International Wine Challenge.
The ‘River Walk Wine Festival’ in New Jersey is all about winners. Specifically, the festival will focus on 87 wineries that won at the International Finger Lakes Wine Competition. Festival participants will sample from a selection of more than 300 New Jersey medal recipients.
Wild Goose Winery in Okanagan Falls has just released their latest 2010 white wines. They have already received good reviews, so now is the time to get hold of one. The winery says quality is high while volume is lower than previously.

See Ya Later Riesling has been a winner this year. At the BC Wine Awards it shows up as a bronze medal winner. In San Francisco it won gold among others of its varietal. Put a bottle of this on the wine rack and you are supporting a champion.
