Wine Access reported on the names of two bottles which would feature prominently on the wedding wine rack on April 29th in England.
Actually, the wine-powered travel happened at Buckingham Palace on April 29th, and other occasions apparently. This is courtesy of Prince Charles, who loaned his Aston Martin to son William on the day of his wedding to Kate Middleton.
A website called ‘Moms Who Need Wine’ has drawn its share of flack, but also a lot of positive attention. After all, what mother doesn’t need a glass of wine from time-to-time?
If you want to know how your wine rack can be invested with greater meaning, just look to certain wine-makers. Some of them take an interest in charitable causes. A wide variety from endangered species to arts programs is represented on the shelves of liquor stores.
Now don’t start worrying. I will never insult readers with a picture of me in a little black dress (or even a big one) on this site. The little black dress in question belongs to a wine label from California.

Not for the first time, the arts and wine are forming a partnership. Vintners regularly lend their support to different organizations as part of fundraising efforts.

Signs of spring look different depending on where you live and what you enjoy doing. Hikers in the north watch for a rising snow line in the mountains and tracks or droppings of emerging wild life. Hyacinths and daffodils start blooming in the beds of avid gardeners. Wine-lovers watch for wineries to open once more.

We received exciting news this past weekend. Our older daughter, who has been a French Immersion student since kindergarten, will be travelling to Quebec next year (Grade 8). Better still, they need parent chaperones!

If you are confident in the kitchen, then recipes form an optional part of your cooking activities. If, however, pots and pans make you tremble, then you probably like to follow recipes to the teaspoon.
