According to New York Carver, monks during the dark ages were often associated with heavy drinking and a rather gluttenous approach to life, even though many were extremely devout. Some art work of the time depicts tonsured men clearly in drink. The Recycling Question at the Wine Rack Store

Our town just got curb side recycling. ‘So late?’ you may wonder, or ‘already?’ if you live somewhere like our town. I’m inclined to agree with the first statement as we had this program more than twenty years ago where I grew up, then it started only slightly less than twenty years ago in the little English village where we lived for a while. My Return From Camp

This weekend I will be chaperoning a few girls at a weekend youth retreat: camp, by any other name, and just as chaotic. Thankfully my only job is to hang around at night so that at least my group stays in their cabin; other people will look after wide games etc. Moreover, it’s just one weekend; two nights, with Valentine’s Day at the other end of it.
